The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it's alarmed about the high range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack SRD of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The services stage established for intervention experiences a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for your Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all consumers and improve entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
